I really really really want long pretty hair, but my hair just isnt growing :( I am considering extensions, but is my hair long enough for them? Also- in your experience, which is the best kind, and which doesn't hurt the most? I would wear them mostly every day. Is it worth getting a weave? I also have super wavy hair, can they give me wavy extensions?

Are you a chronic jaywalker? Should jaywalking be more heavily monitored by the NYPD (who currently have no officers assigned specifically to the jaywalking beat)? Comedian Colin Quinn faced off with AAA spokesman Robert Sinclair Jr. for opposing opinion pieces on the habitual practice.
Of course it's our God-given right to jaywalk!
It's what distinguishes us from almost every other city in the world.
Do you see the cops giving a freakin' cow a ticket for being in the way in India?
No.
And you don't give a New Yorker a jaywalking ticket either.
This is our way of life. We're the pedestrian city of the United States.

As the writer/filmmaker responsible for the densely-detailed and intense films Donnie Darko and Southland Tales, Richard Kelly returns with another mind-bending sci-fi tale called The Box.
StarWars.com caught up with Kelly after a recent visit to Skywalker Ranch and ILM, to chat with him about his love for Star Wars, NASA's approval of The Box and why Jabba the Hutt should be the next Tony Soprano.
----------------
In addition to expanding on Richard Matheson's short story "Button, Button" for the plot, you also use a lot of your own parents' background stories in The Box, especially with your father's work at NASA. Why did you want the film to reflect some of your own family's history?
It just felt like the right thing to do. This felt like the kind of film I think they would appreciate. They love Alfred Hitchcock. When I found the solution to this story, and linking to my dad's work at NASA, it all came together. It felt like a way to kind of pay tribute to them and to their experiences. And that they would get a kick out of seeing elements of who they are portrayed by Cameron Diaz and James Marsden. Obviously, they're not playing my parents but it's an interpretation of them.
You don't get that many opportunities in life to try to do something cool like that for your parents. This felt like the moment to do it.
How did NASA feel about you not only using them as a story component, but actually shooting some footage there as well?
All the NASA stuff at Langley in the film was shot at NASA's Langley Research Center. It took about a year to get full cooperation from NASA and NASA headquarters and everyone at Langley. They all read the script and signed off on it. We signed a Space Act Agreement and it was a big deal.
No one has ever photographed that hangar before; no one has ever been inside that wind tunnel. There are these legendary buildings over at Langley that have never been shown before on film so it was really kind of setting a new precedent to get access to all these facilities.
My dad's work with NASA probably had a lot to do with granting me permission, and that the film might shed some light on the Viking program which was a very significant event. It's not the most well-known space mission, however anyone you talk with at NASA always go back to Viking as one of the greatest achievements in the history of space exploration. Putting a robot on Mars and sending photographs back was a profound accomplishment.
If you go online to the website YouAreTheExperiment.com you can see some of these prequel videos I put together. The first one incorporates a lot of real footage of the real scientists on the day -- June 20, 1976 -- responding and reacting to photographs being transmitted back.

Went jean shopping today.
walked in wearing a size 24.. granted this size also no longer stays on my body, even if I stand perfectly still, with out the benifit of a belt.
So there I stand - in the misses section gazing out at the jeans and remembering how much I hate the whole process. I wonder... should I collect 22's? or should I go for the 20's so they will fit longer than a month? I decided I might as well think positive and get the 20's - after all I have been doing so well and I feel strong... the holiday's will not defeat me - ha ha!
I assume that the 20's are going to be painfully tight and I won't be able to wear them for a week or two.. in fact I grabbed one pair of 22's just so in case it was all too depressing by the end of trying on.
I get in the dressing room - 20's ... totally fit. Holy shit. So I try them all on - only hated myself about half of what I usually do when jean shopping. Then I start thinking... well shit. I was gonna get tight jeans - so they would last longer... and help me remember to restrict. So ... uh... maybe I should try the 18's?
Oh hell no, I mean I literally have not worn something with a 1 at the front in 8 years (single digets not part of my life.. yet) there is no way. NO way. Then my friend was taking FOREVER... so I thought... well... what the hell. I'll just give it a go - with the stretch jeans. I mean if it looks like it's gonna depress me or end badly I won't even try to fasten them... just.. check it out. right?
18's totally fit. And here we have arrived ... at my issues. I do have a history of anxiety but I am pretty sure this was a triggered attack not random attack. I fastened up those 18's realized that I could totally wear them and had a panic attack. I really bad panic attack. I had to go outside the store for a bit - barely made it back into my actual pants and outside of the dressing room.
Most people are all excited when they realize they lost 4 sizes. Most people feel good about themselves... I stop breathing. And I have NO idea why. It wasn't even as if I felt really fat because it is still a freakin 18 or anything weird like that - I just snapped.
I mean because I am self conscience I usually wear super baggy clothes, and the 18's are not baggy, but they fit. I can fasten them and they don't hurt when I sit down or anything. Holy crap. I actually thought I looked good - you know... for me. Of course my first thought after this was .. I am never, ever, ever eating again.... been fasting - apparently when I don't eat I fit in 18's so yeah... never again. (clearly not realistic, but the whole, I actually look okay in these and I am never eating was the only cognative thought I managed before the panic set in)
What the hell? Such issues. On the upside - I did calm the hell down. Got myself two pairs of size 18 jeans... and a really weird sense of anxiety about this. Also the fact that I immediately jumped to the conclusion that eating nothing was a fabulous long term life plan based on a pair of jeans is also a bit unsettling for me.
Trying to concentrate on the bright side. I called my mom at one point - because she actually gave me a gift certificate for the pants since mine are all too big at the moment, she then called my grandma, who called and told me she is gonna buy me another 3 outfits in Jan if these jeans get too big for me. Well actually she said that she would get the clothes for me whenever these got too big, but we talked about Jan since I'll see her around then anyway.
Yay new clothes I don't have to pay for.

( Video of Sanjay with Stephen Colbert.........Zombies are actually a good example because they are sort of in this state between life and death. )
Sanjay Gupta (@Sanjayguptacnn), Chief Medical Correspondent for CNN, spoke to Stephen Colbert about his new book, Cheating Death.
He explained that there's more gray area between life and death than we normally think. Since it's not as easy to pinpoint the moment of death it gives doctors more chances to intervene, to "cheat death."
Is it a useful book in furthering the discussion of a taboo subject, or another doctor attempting to deny the reality we all face?

Variety reports that Screen Gems has acquired "Sheneneh and Wanda," a comic vehicle for Jamie Foxx and Martin Lawrence to star in. The duo would play female characters they developed during their stand up comedy days in the caper film.
Foxx will write the script and he and Martin will produce together through Foxx's Foxxhole and Lawrence's Runteldat production companies.
The project originated as a parody of a movie trailer for a film called "Skank Robbers," which Foxx and Lawrence made for the BET Awards. The reaction was strong enough that the duo decided to turn the concept into a real film.
In the comedy, Sheneneh and Wanda are modern day independent women trying to make it on their own, one bank robbery at a time.
